Project 2, at first, made me feel some-what apprehensive. I was not sure exactly what I wanted to do, or even if my project was going to be somewhat good. I tried writing my rough draft without actually doing my new medium. My paper fell short of a good argument, however. Once I sat down and constructed my new medium it was so much easier to write a strong argument defending my work. Once I did my recording I was able to blow threw my paper no problem. The assignment also made so much more sense and was made clear. My rough draft and my final paper ended up being so much different. Also, the hand out you gave us about the good essay and the bad essay was a very helpful tool and reference in finalizing my paper. Project two turned out not being as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was dreading it and not looking forward to the recording at all. Once I got going everything became a piece of cake. Although, I was much happier with my final draft of project one and much more confident in my work as an overall piece. Being creative is not one of my strong points and writing about things that are personal to me is much easier than writing about specific things and trying to write about things that interest someone else. All and all I did not hate project two like everyone seemed to do. It was not my favorite thing to do, but overall I did not think it was terrible.

As far as this post can be considered an example of good free response writing, you are right on track. Good job.

As for your thoughts on Project Two, yikes! I maintain that the number one tool of a strong writer is confidence in his/her work; while your concerns may or may not be valid, you owe it to yourself to focus on the strong parts of your writing process, instead of dwelling solely on the weaker elements. While you certainly ought to approach your writing process with a critical eye, I would hope that the best description of your work that you can offer would never be that it isn't terrible.
