Today we had to find a persuasive speech to help us understand what we need to do and how to back up our thoughts and comments. I listened to a speech by Steve Jobs the CEO of Apple Corporation, and he spoke about why it is important to go through college and never lose sight of your dream. I found him to be a very good speaker and I think this assignment helped me to more understand how to persuade people and to make sure I back it up with a storey from my life that helps relate so people can see why the subject I am speaking about is important to me. We also were supposed to read an article that shows persuasion and that helped to show another form which is to sort of put satire into the subject to show hor ridiculous the opposite way of thinking on your subject really is. I am not looking forward to this project but I believe these assignments have helped to prepare me.
