Free Response 3

In class Monday we talked about starting project 4. This project seems like all 3 previous projects infused together and I’m excited about it. I’m still juggling a few different ideas that I could focus my paper on. I ultimately think it will either be an argument about how being a vegetarian is healthier than a normal all meat diet. Although most people don’t see it and see vegetarians as ‘insane’ for not eating meat, being a vegetarians are often healthier than those who stick to the normal diet. All of the protein and vitamin can still be consumed via supplements in food or different forms of vitamins. My other idea is music has become to industrialized in the past few decades. The music industry is no longer about the actually purpose of music. Music is an outlet for an expression and feelings. The music industry today is all about having the perfect voice and the most popular topic for a song. I haven’t decided on which one I want to do yet because both subjects are important to me in a way. I think the paper will be the easiest aspect of this paper because as shown by the previous paper if you know what to do for getting outside stories to defend your argument then you’re pretty well off. Speaking in front of the class will definitely be harder. I’ve never been a very outspoken person in front of groups of people so that will be a bit of challenge. I’m glad we have to do it though because I’ve really been trying hard to work on my public speaking skills. I know in college you are required to do quite a bit more of it then in high school and just for life in general it’s necessary to have good speaking skills and not be shy. This project is going to be interesting and I’m excited to learn more about which ever subject I use because of research. It’s also very exciting to know that this is the last big project of this class other than the portfolio.
