Why Presentations are Important

Presentations are important mainly because they give you people skills. Having to do a presentation makes you get up in front of a group of people you may not normally feel comfortable around. It also makes you work harder on having information to back up whatever you are presenting. Its certainly much more embarrassing to be up in front of a whole class and be wrong about some noticeable facts then have them be wrong in a paper. When you are presenting something it also teaches you confidence skills. You have to have the confidence to get up in front of the class and speak with a loud articulate voice in able for people to really be captured and listen. Presentation's are necessary in college because they show you how you are going to need to handle talking to people in the real world. I feel they're probably one of the most helpful things we do in college and i'm kind of nervous t do mine. I know that doing it will give me learning experience though and make me a better speaker.
